Summer:
Summertime is algae time. If the green infes-
tation gets the upper hand, you should initiate counter
measures with the three steps of the with the A-B-C
anti-algae program.
You can use AlGo Bio Protect or AquaHumin as pre-
ventative measures. However, warm temperatures
also cause abundant bio-activity and plant growth.
Fluctuations of pH value and min-
eral losses are the consequences.
With OptiPond you ensure a regular
equalisation of the mineral balance,
particularly after heavy downpours.
If you must top up your pond with
fresh water in the summer, do not
forget to prepare the tap water
properly for the pond beforehand
with Safe&Care. Particularly if
there is algae bloom, lack of oxygen
can occur at high temperatures.
With OxyPlus you can quickly coun-
ter act.
Spring:
Getting started! At the start of the season
there are things to do. Now it is time for water treat-
ment, activation of the pond biology and particularly
the binding of excess nutrients.
With the basic care product OptiPond, you can quite
easily achieve optimal water conditions. You can really
get the filter biology moving again with the BioKick
filter starters. Effectively suppress hazardous am-
monium or nitrite values during the
run-in phase with PondLith zeolite.
Nevertheless, check your water val-
ues with the QuickSticks or the Wa-
ter Analysis Set on a regular basis.
To prevent algae growth, released phosphates should
be removed in the winter and the spring with Pho-
sLess. Silt deposits that have accumulated over the
winter are a nutrient source for algae. These are
removed either with the PondoVac or with SediFree. In
addition, pay attention to your fish that come through
the winter in a weakened condition and therefore may
be susceptible to disease. With AquaActiv fish medi-
cine in such a case fast help is usually also guaranteed.
